DiCentral Expands Web-Hosted Solution with Automotive EDI
DiCentral Adds 830, 862 Document Processing Capabilities to its EDI Solution
Houston TX, November 1, 2011 – DiCentral today announced that it processes the X12 830, 862, 856 and the EDIFACT DELFOR, DELJIT, DESADV documents for automotive parts manufacturers.
An EDI 830 Forecast Schedule with Release Capabilities is a document sent from a trading partner to notify the supplier of its forecasted order needs. DiCentral processes the 830, using replacement logic specific to the individual trading partner to keep the current forecast accurate. The 830 is separated into releases (sales orders) and forecasts. Forecasts are delivered as spreadsheets to be uploaded to the user's ERP/MRP system. Releases are retained on the DiCentral system to be "recycled" as the 856 (Advance Ship Notice or ASN) is created, eliminating the need for rekeying data. This results in a fast and efficient ASN creation process which minimizes data handling errors.
An EDI 862 Shipping Schedule is a document from a trading partner to notify the supplier of current order needs (releases). DiCentral processes the 862 for the supplier, allowing the turn-around ASN to be created and sent via the web solution.
Suppliers to automotive Tier One and OEM manufacturers can now benefit from web-based EDI (X12 or EDIFACT) processing of the 830, 862, 850 (Purchase Order), and 856 documents, with no software required.
"Automotive suppliers can now expand their capabilities via the cloud," stated Mike Neadeau, vice president of sales for DiCentral. "Our solution greatly simplifies the ownership of EDI technology, while ensuring compliance with all trading partners."
