PRESS RELEASE

Asian Chamber of Commerce

DiCentral’s CEO Thuy Mai was named 2011 Outstanding Entrepreneur by Houston’s Asian Chamber of Commerce at the 21st Annual Asian Chamber of Commerce Gala on May 19th, hosted at the Westin Houston Memorial City Hotel. The theme for this year’s gala was “The Bold & Passionate” acknowledging bold and passionate professionals who have significantly impacted the Houston community. Thuy Mai was honored to be recognized among other attendees, including US Congressman Al Green and Houston Mayor Anise Parker.
Every year, the Asian Chamber has recognized the businesses and individuals who have made a difference in the business and professional landscape of Houston. These individuals have been selected not just for their business acumen, but also for their leadership and tireless contributions to their community. Mr. Mai successfully increased supply chain efficiency through the EDI enablement of several retailer/supplier relationships during the past year. In each of these enablement programs, Mr. Mai effectively strengthened efficiency in supply chain workflow. As an example, Mr. Mai’s efforts with one supplier brought improved cost savings attributable to less time usage, less resource consumption, and a smaller workload—all through the streamlining of EDI processes.
Mr. Mai is grateful to be recognized as the 2011 Outstanding Entrepreneur and would like to extend his gratitude to his 300+ employees. During his acceptance speech he stated, “This award would not be possible if it were not for the amazing team I have to work with at DiCentral.”
