GREETINGS!
July 2010 marks an important milestone for DiCentral: ten years of innovation, growth, and most importantly, ten years of success. In July 2000, DiCentral broke ground in Houston, Texas. Since then, DiCentral has continued to develop cutting-edge products and services that streamline supply chain transactions. We help retailers, suppliers, and logistics providers to do their jobs better—the result is a supply chain that works more effectively in getting products into the hands of customers.
In 2010, DiCentral remains at the forefront of the EDI industry—this could not have been possible, though, without the continued support from friends and colleagues like you.

DiCentral Named to the 2010 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100
DiCentral announces its inclusion in the 2010 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 (SDCE 100). The list is released annually by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, and features the top supply chain solutions and services providers in the United States.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive has identified leading providers of supply chain services and technologies who are helping customers/clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for the post-recessionary return to growth. Based on submissions to the “100” from end users and solution providers, the editorial staff of the magazine has compiled a list of leading supply and demand chain innovators. Final recipients are featured in the cover story of the May/June 2010 issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive, as well as online at www.sdcexec.com
“In its ninth year, the SDCE 100 continues to position top supply chain solutions providers as industry innovators,” said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The honorees demonstrate high-class services in helping supply chains achieve excellence as they recover from unstable economic times.”
U Connect 2010
Members of DiCentral’s sales and engineering team attended this year’s U Connect conference to exchange ideas with both retailers and vendors on compliance standards and supply chain optimization. After speaking with a number of industry experts, including members of the TPAC (Trading Partner Alignment and Compliance) committee, we left the conference with knowledge that will greatly benefit in the development of products to help customers better meet compliance standards.
The U Connect Conference is an annual event hosted by GS1 US and its conference partner VICS for the purpose of bringing trading partners together to network and learn about the value of using standards-based business processes and best practices for optimum efficiencies in managing the supply and demand sides of their value chain. This unique event draws attendees across industries, business functions, and standards communities of the GS1 System and offers solutions to value chain problems, regardless of company size, location, or company type. The U Connect Conference has a long tradition of providing a premium industry event that optimizes opportunities for trading partners to gather, learn, and solve problems together in a neutral environment. The U Connect Conference offers attendees:

- Informal Networking via lunches and receptions held in the exhibit hall.
DiCentral Awarded 2010 Five-Star Partner Rating in Everything Channel’s Partner Program Guide
DiCentral Corporation has been recognized by Everything Channel and its CRN magazine as one of North America’s top information-technology (IT) vendors for its DiChannels partner program.
DiCentral was awarded a Five-Star certification in the Everything Channel’s 16th annual 2010 Partner Program Guide (PPG), acknowledging its commitment and strength of its programs for reseller partners which include IT integrators, technology solution providers, and consultants. This marks the third consecutive year for DiCentral to be awarded the Five-Star rating.
“Now more than ever, the quality of a vendor’s partner program determines how profitable its partners will be. So for their commitment to their partners, and their efforts to build quality programs, we congratulate this year’s Five-Star Partner Program Guide winners for helping to drive greater revenue in the channel,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel.
Meet DiChannels
DiCentral’s DiChannels program has been an integral part of the company since its inception in 2007. DiChannels allows solution providers the opportunity to include software-as-a-service supply chain solutions in their product portfolio. The program includes training and marketing resources, recurring monthly commissions, and dedicated partner support.
DiChannels is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) publishers. That entails staying up-to- date on ERP product enhancements, collaborating with ERP publishers, and even maintaining relationships within the ERP consulting community. The objective behind this effort is to continually develop better integration solutions for the ERP platforms that DiCentral’s customers are using.
Because of the hard work and commitment of the members of DiChannels, DiCentral is the only company specializing in EDI that has been awarded Everything Channel’s Five-Star certification. The Five-Star rating is awarded to vendor partner programs based on their commitment to the channel, breadth of program offerings, and services offered to their partners. This marks the third consecutive year for DiCentral to be awarded the Five-Star rating.
Recently, the DiChannels team represented at Convergence, an annual conference hosted by Microsoft for the Microsoft Dynamics community. Over 10,000 attendees were present, including partners, Dynamics users and prospects, Microsoft personnel, industry experts, and members of the media. Convergence 2010 marked the fourth consecutive year for DiCentral to exhibit at the event.
Professional Services Group
The Professional Services Group acts in a consulting capacity for customers who have large EDI integration projects or for retailers who want to implement EDI rollouts among their vendor base. The group will investigate the customer’s exact needs—going on-site if necessary—design an efficient, cost- effective solution, and provide project management and implementation services. It’s a high level, hands-on custom service that DiCentral is proud to offer.
The Professional Services Group serves customers no matter how complex, or bare bones, their EDI system. After analyzing the customer’s current setup, PSG produces a full report specifying areas to be addressed. A custom solution is then designed and, once approved, put into production and overseen by the PSG. The group is then available to address any further needs that the customer may have after the solution is successfully up and running.
The PSG will soon unveil a new product designed specifically for retailers that provides visibility into vendor activity through an easy-to-use web reporting tool. Retailers using the solution will be able to view specific vendor activities through a number of user-specified parameters 24-7. The visibility and ease- of-use that the product features will provide customers with cost-savings and greater productivity.
DiCentral Acquires BASE2
DiCentral announces the acquisition of Base2 Corporation in Grafton, Wisconsin. The combined firm will expand the strengths of DiCentral, a leading innovator in computer software for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) in the supply chain industry segment, into the resurgent automotive and manufacturing markets. This combination will also provide BASE2 with strong support, sales and development resources.
BASE2 has worked with members of the automotive and manufacturing industry for over two decades — being certified by both Honda and General Motors — and has experienced continued growth in number of clients served. That experience, combined with DiCentral’s resources and platform, will accelerate DiCentral’s initiatives for development within the automotive and manufacturing industries.
Additionally, BASE2 will leverage DiCentral’s resources — both customers and financial resources — enabling BASE2 a greater competitive edge in an industry where the company has already experienced success. As DiCentral and BASE2 work together to capitalize on the synergy of the partnership, each company will be given an opportunity to reach more customers and offer more services than before.
“DiCentral found a like-minded partner in BASE2, as they have already built a strong reputation for top-notch service and technology,” said Thuy Mai, DiCentral’s founder and CEO. “We look forward to teaming with the dedicated and talented BASE2 team to expand their position in the automotive and manufacturing industry and to extend their previous success. BASE2 will continue to offer the same high quality service and support that have earned the company its stellar reputation, but by partnering with DiCentral we hope to enhance the quality and capacity of BASE2’s offerings.”
“BASE2 Corporation was searching for a partner who shares our passion for support of our customers, provides additional resources to expand our products, and enhances our presence in the market with a strong marketing presence,” said Paul Gutelius, CEO of BASE2. “We think we found that partner in DiCentral.”
