We hope 2006 was an excellent year for your company. For DiCentral 2006 brought many changes to our company including doubling our staff, moving into new spacious facilities, and expanding our suite of products and services. Much of our success can be attributed to our technology advancements and the fact that our products are quickly becoming the preferred choice for suppliers and trading partners worldwide. However, even more important to our success has been the loyalty of our customers. The strong relationships we have with our customers has been the cornerstone for building our business.
In a recent survey, 97% of DiCentral's current customers said they would refer DiCentral to another company. This also reinforces our plans in 2007 to continue our aggressive product development schedule to meet the diverse and growing needs of our customer base.
Over the past year several new products and services were introduced to bring efficiency and greater cost–effectiveness to your supply chain activities. This includes products for in–depth sales analysis to help you make better, more informed and more profitable business decisions. It is our goal to help each client evaluate the use of these solutions for their business. In fact, we have formed a special department within DiCentral to contact each customer to determine which new solutions might help you achieve greater effectiveness and efficiencies. At DiCentral™, our goal is to focus on delivering reliable service to each client.
Our technologically advanced programs lessen the need for technical assistance. However, should you ever need help, rest assured that our dedicated support professionals will deliver answers to any issues that may arise.
At DiCentral, your call does not go into a call center. Instead, you are connected to your specific trading partner. Our staff is cross–trained in product and unique requirements, further guaranteeing up–to–date, relevant information for you. Each individual has been thoroughly trained on the unique rules and requirements your buyers demand.
Should your representative not be available, support personnel are all versed in the guidelines and rules your company uses. Our support staff maintains regular hours of 7am–7pm Central Standard Time. However, because we know that emergencies do occur, we have on–call staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This support is available to you at no extra cost. While some companies expect you to pay for their assistance, we feel it is our responsibility to keep your solutions up and running.
Should you request a mapping change, you can rest assured that the change will take place across–the–board for all your trading partners. Also, if it is determined that you have a unique application problem, you will be connected with a second level of engineering support. You'll also be happy to know that technical calls are typically resolved within one hour.

I just sent a file, but I don't see it in my Outbox
- If you are uploading files from your own computer drive or application to send to a trading partner, there will be a short delay until DiCentral™ translates the file before it appears in your Outbox. This takes less than an hour, and usually only ten or fifteen minutes. When you create and send a document using DIfiller, it will appear immediately in your Outbox.
I will be out of the office for an extended amount of time. Is it possible for me to have someone else receive email notifications and go into the site to check for transactions we receive?
- Yes. Login from the DiCentral home page, and from the Tree View, click User Configuration > Miscellaneous > Email Notification. From here you may change the email address for notifications when new documents arrive in your Inbox.
Text that I don't want is printing on the top and bottom of my labels. How do I turn off the header & footer to get a clean printout?
- From your Internet Explorer browser menu, click File > Page Setup and delete the text in the "Header" and "Footer" text fields. Write down the formulas before deleting if you wish to restore the settings after printing (this text is the formulas that display information such as the date, web address, etc, when you print a web page). It is perfectly safe to delete this information, but you may wish to restore it later after printing your labels.
How can I monitor my monthly Kilobyte activity?
- Your DiCentral account's monthly fee is based on your anticipated and actual monthly kilobyte usage, therefore you may find it useful to track your kilobyte usage month to month. DiCentral provides on–demand charts and graphs showing your monthly and yearly kilobyte usage. If you can anticipate unusually slow or heavy traffic for a coming month or season, you can adjust your monthly DiCentral subscription plan at least 30 days in advance. To access your kilobyte activity report, go to your DiCentral account's Options tab, then select Activity Report > Kbytes Used.
How do I backorder a purchase Order in my Inbox?
- You can make short shipping and backordering of purchase orders easy by using the Backorder button in your inbox. With this tool, you can split a PO in your inbox into both a modified PO for what you are shipping now and a backorder PO for what you are shipping later. The original PO remains untouched. You benefit by creating your ASNs and invoices from the modified and backorder versions of the PO at the correct times, rather than relying on duplicate manual adjustments to ASNs and invoices created from the original PO. This saves you time, reduces human error, and gives you an archived record of what was backordered. To use the Backorder tool, simply check off the affected PO in your inbox and press the Back order button, then follow the instructions in the popup screen. Consult with your trading partner to ensure they allow short–shipping/backordering.
I need to find an EDI document from six months ago.
- You have on–demand access to all of the EDI documents previously sent and received by your DiCentral account. The current year's quarters are accessible from the Quarter links near the top right of your inbox and outbox. Previous years are accessible from the Archive button near the top left of your inbox and outbox, under the DiCentral logo. Select the year you want to review, then access that year's quarters from the Quarter links. Press the "Return to Current" link to restore the current year and quarter.
How do I consolidate my ASNs?
- Many trading partners require you to submit a consolidated ASN, which is a single ASN encompassing multiple purchase orders being shipped to the same location on the same day (same shipment). DiCentral makes it easy for you to create a consolidated ASN. After you determine which POs must be shipped together, check them off in your DiCentral inbox and press the "Bundle to Ship Notice" button. Follow the instructions on the popup screen and form to create your consolidated ASN. Also, if your ASN becomes to large to edit, or requires more complex packing options (such as Pic & Pak), you can still create individual ASN drafts from the individual POs, then combine the drafts from your outbox to a single consolidated ASN for transmission by using the Combine ASNs button.
I always type the same thing in the same fields, every month. What can I do?
- If you must often type the same values into the same blank fields on your EDI document forms, you can set many of these fields to default values that you specify. Then the next time you create that document type, your defaults will automatically pre–populate into the correct spaces. To set your defaults, go to your DiCentral account's Options tab (from the inbox or outbox, not from an open document screen), then go to User Configuration > Turn Around Default Setting > [Your Trading Partner's Name] > [Document Type]. In the popup screen, enter your default values and press Save. If you don't see the field you want, contact
