DiCentral Hosts Visit by Academy Sports
In our ongoing commitment to give our customers the best service possible, DiCentral works closely with major retailers to demonstrate the effectiveness of our solutions, and to give them insight into the processes we use. Recently DiCentral was visited by Academy Sports’ compliance officer, Joanne Hambrick, who was given a first hand look at how our system works for their customers.
While here, Ms. Hambrick was given an in-depth overview of our sales process by DiCentral's Cindy Becker and Peter Edlund, and also witnessed a live demonstration of DiCentrals’ solution in progress. She was also provided with the same information that DiCentral provides prospective clients, so that she could understand the concerns and questions new EDI users commonly have. Later, she was guided by a DiCentral Customer Support Agent through the process Technical Support follows to connect new EDI users.
Hosting retailers such as Academy allows DiCentral to further grasp the issues that exist between trading partners, and also grants visibility into the EDI process that many users may not have the opportunity to see otherwise. DiCentral is always glad to have visitors, and we welcome any of our customers who would like to see our company in action.
Top | Back | HomeSuper Pack: DiCentrals' Newest Packing Option
DiCentral is constantly on the look-out for innovative methods to ensure the most effective EDI on the market. From simple updates in our solution to entire integration systems, DiCentral continues to find new ways to increase speed and efficiency, while maintaining affordable, flexible EDI. One of the latest DiCentral creations, Super Pack, allows for a multitude of options not seen before in our solutions, while giving our customers more freedom and alternatives in their packing choices.
Super Pack is highly beneficial for vendors who must keep their styles or colors together in the shipment. When using Super Pack, a vendor has the ability to customize the way they pack their UPC codes and SKU numbers. This customizing feature also allows the user to adjust the packing quantities of individual UPCs and SKUs to control the overall number of cartons for each group. Once the user has packed their order in the way their trading partners have asked, their trading partner will receive a much more streamlined and accessible shipment that is easier to process and unload.
The Super Pack feature may be helpful to your company. If you would like to learn more, please contact us at 281 480 1121, or email us at

EDI Replenish (DiReplenish) for Vendor Managed Inventory
In our constant drive to give our customers solutions for any situation, DiCentral is attempting to meet every need imaginable. One of our latest tools, DiReplenish, is built with the same high standards our customers have come to expect. Vendor Managed Inventory is becoming more and more popular with larger companies who need such a program in place, and DiReplenish meets those needs with total visibility and speed.
With DiReplenish for VMI, the vendor tracks the numbers of products shipped to distributors and retail outlets. Tracking tells the vendor whether or not the distributor needs more of the vendor’s products, which are automatically sent when supply runs low. Moreover, these products are not sent unless they are needed. This maintains inventory without letting it build up in the distribution center. With our system, the manufacturer can take a daily review of inventory and know for certain what is needed, and where.
In addition to being an application, DiReplenish includes the DiCentral support and services including all retailer profiles which we maintain, further bringing value to the supplier by reducing labor requirements. DiReplenish requires no additional technology staff to support your VMI efforts. DiReplenish provides a high level of automation for virtually any product mix and scales from 50 to 50,000 locations. Item-specific inventory is analyzed and orders are produced according to you and your retail customers' rules for generating them. This includes automating the business policies, arrived at from the collaborative forecasting and replenishment models you and your customer have agreed to.
Reduced labor, well-managed inventory, reduced returns and improved EDI function have a positive impact on a suppliers' bottom line - ultimately making the supplier more profitable and providing greater profit. Data entry errors are minimized, while the speed of processing orders is greatly increased. Purchase Orders are made less troublesome with pre-defined rules in place.
For the vendor, improved fill rates are instantaneous, and there is less unsold inventory to manage. For the supplier, visibility of retailers’ POS data makes forecasting easier, with a significant reduction in ordering mistakes. Warehouse and Distribution Centers can view stock levels for all stores, which helps to identify priorities and special supply needs in certain retail venues; the manufacturer can see the potential need for an item before the item is ordered.
While it can seem like an expensive and time-consuming undertaking, the numerous benefits would provide a significant return on investment, and give your business more power then ever before.
